Squeakware is a compact, customizable bootable Squeak, based on a linux distribution SLAX.
KDE (SLAX Standard version) - about 256MB
XFce4 (SLAX Popcorn version) - about 128MB
How to build a new Squeakware from SLAX
Download the following modules. And incorporate them to the existing SLAX iso images by using MySlax creator. It is the simplest way. (If you like to do it in linux, you can use SLAX itself, which has shell scripts for building a new SLAX).

You can easily create new modules, by using tgz2mo, or dir2mo commands.
All you have to do is to make a new directory, copy the files you want, and pack them into a new module. It is like creating a new tar-ball.
For more info, just see the SLAX site.
